Today this amazing group turned our fundraiser into a party in a park !!

The amount of comments on how good the are blew me away ..(I'm biased as I adore the group). Would highly recommend for any function be it a birthday celebration or even a wedding. Definitely a crowd pleaser with variation of genre covers...10* if possible would be given. This was my 2nd booking with hopefully 2 more in the near future ...♥️♥️♥️

We raised £615 last night and out running total up to now is around £2000. Still got a few weeks before the walk so hopefully we will make more. 

I have had some fantastic feedback about the band from people who hadn’t seen you before. A few words were:

The band don’t play the expected 80’s songs, they are different.

Dear Spitting Feathers

Thank you so much for playing at our Dinner/Dance at the Portal Hotel. It was a great success and we made a lot of money for our charities. I will let you know the final amount when we have settled all the bills but we hope that the eventual total will come to £4000 including  match funding from Microsoft.

Our guests all thought the band was great and I have been asked repeatedly when are we going to do it all again. Everybody wanted to dance to the music you selected played by your great musicians. Although this was a fund raising event we also wanted everyone to have a good time and enjoy themselves which they certainly did. The fact that the partygoers were reluctant to leave the dance floor and go home I think was the proof of a very successful evening.

Thank you again we couldn’t have done it without you.

Thank you all for a fantastic night of good ol' rocking, dancing & laughter, supporting a great local cause.

Two very generous sets of well performed music by a talented band of musicians...ably led by Dave "Manzarek" Gowler on keyboard and vocals, the very sexy Gosia on lead vocals, guitar and small, but perfectly formed percussion, Paul on bass guitar and vocals, Chris on lead guitar and Mike on drums and vocals. And let's not forget Steven, who took a very important role out of the limelight managing the sound and lighting.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for playing at my birthday party. Everyone loved the band and the atmosphere you created, and even a month on are still raving about it

From our first contact with Spitting Feathers it was a smooth, professional and reassuring experience. Nothing was too much trouble, including the advice on play lists for the live music and the recorded music. Mike helped us with the scheduling, layout of the venue (from an acoustics point of view as well as from a mood control and lighting perspective). He helped us with every aspect in his calm 'not too much trouble' demeanour. Something that we so desperately needed when we were organising a wedding! On the night the band were fantastic, professional in their appearance and great with the audience. It was amazing how fast the two sets seemed to go. The crowd loved them. We highly recommend them, they are great musicians and wonderful people! Your band makes or breaks your event, they helped make ours a memorable day.

Just to say a big 'thank you' to Spitting Feathers for helping to make our day really special.

I booked 'Spitting Feathers' to play at my partner's birthday party in January on the strength of a video clip of them rehearsing. On that basis, I was expecting 'Good'. What they delivered was 'Great'!
Although they all have day jobs, this is no amateur band. I received a response to my initial email enquiry within 24 hours from Mike, the manager and drummer.
They did an advance recce of the venue, and on the night they arrived with a vast amount of equipment and instruments, including guitars, bass, keyboard, drum kit, trumpet, PA system, lighting and an iPod.
The band plays a wide range of popular 'covers', including Brown Eyed Girl, Summer of 69, I Saw Her Standing There, Johnny B Goode, Mustang Sally, etc. together more recent chart material such as Valerie and Mr Rock & Roll.
Whilst all the members of the band are excellent musicians and singers, from an audience perspective they also have something far rarer as well - they are great entertainers!
They clearly had fun performing, and went out of their way to ensure that our guests had as good a time as possible.
'Spitting Feathers' look fab and sound even better. I would have no hesitation in either booking them again, or recommending them to anyone else.
On a scale of 1 to 5, I give them 6!
